Made With Love

Automation has made it possible to produce so many objects — from bread to shoes — without the intervention of human hands (assuming that pressing a button doesn’t count). What things do you still prefer in their traditional, handmade version?

Two Bracelets

Made by your hands

Two Bracelets

Made from love

Memories woven onto my wrist

Thoughts of you ingrained within this yarn

I carry these Two Bracelets with me everyday

Our relationship displayed to all who bother to wonder out loud

I wear them with pride

I wear us with Pride

I’m like Sunday morning, you’re like Friday night

And I’m reminded of this perfect weekend every time I look at my left wrist

A charm

A heart with a keyhole in it

You hold the key

One bright and colorful

The other different shades of the same color

Like us

You see the universe as a glorious spectrum

I see it as black and white with occasional gray areas

Different, yet alike

Alike, yet different

Just like Two Bracelets

That were made with love
